Trip to RSPB Rainham Marshes

Today we went to Rainham Marshes for the first time. It's a great place for wildlife and any wildlife photographer or bird watcher.

The entry fee was £2.50 to any adult who is not a member of The RSPB and £1 entry to anyone under thw age of 16. We think entry free for members of the RSPB is free.

The scenes are great, there are vast amounts of reedbeds which is great habitat for the voles, amphibians and wetland birds.

Wildlife we saw:
  • Marsh Frogs
  • Water Voles
  • Field Voles
  • Grass Snakes
  • Grey Herons
  • Little Grebes
  • Little Egrets & much much more!
We recommened the reserve to everyone, although dogs are not aloud and you have to be quiet in order see all the wildlife.
