August Trips

This August we have been to quite a few places so far.

Colchester Zoo

We went to Colchester Zoo as we do once every year. We like to see the progress that the zoo has. We enjoy the day out as we discover something and see something new everyday.

Suffolk Owl Sanctuary

The Suffolk owl sanctuary is a charity that looks after abandoned and injured birds of prey in the Suffolk area. Their birds are on display and there are daily flying displays. They also have a colony of Red Squirrels and some other cool wildlife.

Easton Farm Park

Is a farm open to the public which houses a wide range of farm animals and educates how farms work and what the animals eat. It is situated on the River Deben and is a great day out.

The Deep

We went to The Deep in Hull which is the worlds only submarium. It is a massive place that houses lots of different animals from amphibians to fish. It educates people on the start of life, the planet an exploration of the ocean. There is a massive tank which is 10 metres deep and the biggest fish tank in Europe. It holds 2.5 million litres of water and has many species of shark, ray and fish in it. It is also one of 3 aquariums in the world to breed Blue-spotted Rays.

Wiki

Because we have been to all of these places we have over 150 new photos to add to the wiki. Also the Distribution maps and loads more touched up photos other than the 150 we have taken will be added shortly.

We are also heading to Colchester Aquarium, Rainham Marshes, Natural History Musuem, London Aquarium and a few other places within the next few weeks.
