August Updates

So after going to Rainham Marshes and having such a good day, we returned to have an equally good day even though it was raining.

We have also been to Colchest Zoo recently to check out the animals there and get some shots of the animals in their habitat simulated enclosures. This was a fun day out and we had fun.

We visited Benfleet Downs in search of the Migrant Hawkers and found them, but the weather put them off and they never stood still enough for us to take any decent photos of them so we are soon to return to try our luck once more, but we did get some great photos of other wildlife.

Next week we are heading to Easton Farm Park and Suffolk Owl Santuary which are both in Suffolk. These are two of our favourite wildlife parks in the area and SOS has a colony of Red Squirrels as well as regular flight displays from the Owls and Raptors.

Wiki Updates

We have started to intergrate a new way of showing where animals can be found in the UK. For all the animal pages, we plan to add a distribution map by the end of the year showing where they can be found during certain times of the year. These maps are colour coded and some have already been uploaded to certain pages.
